I am featuring this short sleeve suit today because I’m not sure what happened to Spring, but I think the weatherman decided to skip it here in the South! It is HOT down here in “sunny” Florida! It hasn’t been very sunny lately either, which means hot, humid, thunderstorm filled days. Have you ever noticed the business world doesn’t really care what the temperature is and work clothes seem to be made for arctic office freeze outs?!? Maybe it is just my office, but I always seem to dress in layers just so I can be comfortable both in the office and while walking to my car.

On really hot days when I still need to dress business professional, I like to opt for a short sleeve suit. This black one in particular is great because it is polished, professional and the sleeve length doesn’t take anything away from it. I wouldn’t wear it to an interview or in front of a jury, but I am comfortable wearing it in most professional settings. You can read more about a classic interview suit here.

There are more short sleeve suits out there than you would think, and I’ve linked several options below. I love how there are lighter colors and materials available for summer too. I don’t own any suits from WHBM, but I have bought dresses from there and they have always been excellent quality. I am thinking about ordering one of those too. Hi Jenny! This is such a great blog post. I never know what to wear to work in summer because I’m way too warm in a regular suit on the way to work but will be too cold in the office with anything lighter. A short sleeve suit is the perfect solution! XX Bettina
