Welcome to my blog!
Do you need a place to find inspiration for affordable office fashion? Well, I’m the woman for you! I’ve been following fashion bloggers for some time now and I began to notice that most of them focus on casual wear. I am a lawyer who works in an office most days and sometimes in the courtroom. So, that means I wear business professional (aka suits) in the courtroom and business casual on non-court days. I have been looking for affordable office fashion inspiration and can’t find it!
On non-court days, I usually wear dresses with cardigans, or dressy pant outfits. None of my favorite bloggers were posting this type of content. I figured out that I am following many professional bloggers who consistently post casual wear and the bloggers who blog part time in addition to another job, are still focusing on casual wear! I am also following a lot of nurses (making scrubs fashionable no doubt!) and women who work from home. I discovered there was a lack of fashion inspiration for women who work in an office setting.
I began searching, mostly on Instagram, for bloggers who featured office wear and was really disappointed. Now, don’t get me wrong…there are some ladies out there who are oh so office chic! But, I just wasn’t finding women I could relate to. I found super chic women who were wearing designer suits and dresses, but that didn’t really help me and my budget.
Affordable office wear!
I hope that this blog will serve as a place where women can find inspiration for affordable office wear and beyond. I strongly believe that if we LOOK our BEST then we FEEL our BEST and when we feel our best, we DO our BEST. That belief was obviously the inspiration for my branding and site name. I don’t want the message to be that your “best” always has to be your newest, trendiest outfit and full glam makeup. Not at all. To me, looking my best means my most put together and classy look for that day and time. Sometimes that means foundation, mascara, and a baseball hat along with my cutest leggings and sneakers! Sometimes it means a little black dress and heels my husband picked out for me!
Most days, as I get ready to head into a professional office, it means that I look for classic pieces such as dresses, skirts, or pants and style them with little details that complete the “look.” A set of statement earrings (yes, they are ok for the office too), an oversized bag, or a fun pair of heels always pulls an outfit together.
I have found that fashion can be really affordable if you know where to look and how to shop sales. In all honesty, a $250 pair of black pants look almost identical to a $39 pair. So, I don’t splurge on things like basics. If you put effort into your overall look and pair those $39 black pants with an affordable shell/cardigan combo or blouse, you are going to look great. If you go further and style your outfit with a great necklace, earrings or pair of shoes, then you will really turn heads! You will feel good knowing that you took time to look your best and therefore you will exude confidence!
This amazing Tahari dress!
You’re probably asking yourself if I think this adorable little bow pink dress is office appropriate?!? I would say, no, not for most professions. LOL But, I wanted my first post to be more of a celebration than straight business! So, I found the best of both worlds in this dress because it allows me to highlight one of my go to designers for office wear, Tahari, even though this style is more “party dress” than “work dress.” How cute is the bow detail and pretty pale pink fabric? I’ve linked the exact dress here, and at the end of the post in another color along with other great Tahari dresses for work.
Tahari is one of my favorite brands for professional or business casual fashion. I discovered this brand at the beginning of my career and I cannot even begin to tell you how many pieces I have owned! I have joked before that due to fluctuating weight over the years and all the sizes of Tahari I own, I could totally start a resale store! Tahari does a great job of always producing classic pieces each season, along with more trendier looks. You can always find a navy skirt, black suit, or basic sheath dress when you need one! I am looking forward to sharing some of my favorite classic Tahari looks with you in the future, and I have created a toolbar below of some of their current fashion you can explore and shop!

HEELS
I absolutely LOVE Nine West for all of my shoe needs! I have been buying my work heels there for more than 10 years. I have an outlet store just down the road from me and they carry the latest trends, plus all the basic “pumps.” Does the term “pump” make anyone else giggle? I feel like it is a term my mother’s generation used…anyway, you know what I mean when I use it! I have linked the fun white bow heels I am wearing here.

BAG
My Tory Burch tote is linked here and is an amazing classic piece to have in your collection. It comes in many colors and is a great splurge item!

EARRINGS
How cute are these earrings? I wear them with casual outfits as well as to the office with certain business casual looks. They are BP brand and I bought them from Nordstrom. BP is a super affordable line that Nordstrom carries and this won’t be the last time you see me feature it. Click here to check them out!

SUNGLASSES
My sunnies are from the new line at Target called “A New Day.” Shop them here!
Thank You!
Thank you for reading my very first post and I hope you take a few minutes to check out my Instagram feed. I have committed to posting a new blog post approximately once a week until I learn how to manage all that comes with the “blogger life” and my day job! I have already shot several looks, so I hope you stay tuned for inspiration! Leave me your thoughts, comments and questions below. I would love to hear a little bit about you and what you are looking for in the world of affordable office fashion! What would help you be your BEST?

FINALLY! Thank you! That dress is really cute, and I also like that it doesn’t look like it would require any crazy bra styles. Don’t get me wrong, exposed backs and strappy tops are cute, but usually so impractical! I’m looking forward to seeing more professional looks! Great job!

Yes, stay tuned! This dress was more about the celebration of the launch, but oh so cute! I love Tahari for work wear, so I also wanted to highlight the brand. Thank you for checking out the post!
