The Midi Dress – Business Casual Chic

J.Crew’s Midi Dress: Perfect for the office, a shower, party or church!

I am always looking for pieces that can transition from work to the weekend and I found it in this amazing midi dress at the J.Crew Factory Outlet!  I have already worn this to the office (on a non-court day) and to church on Sunday!

A white blazer was the perfect addition to make this look “work wear” appropriate.  This blazer is linen, which keeps it business casual and perfect for the summer heat.  I have to admit that even though I shot these photos at 7:30 a.m. – it was a SUPER humid Florida morning and I couldn’t even stand to put the blazer on for a photo!  It is perfect for my office which is always freezing!

This midi dress is 100% polyester and really lightweight and comfortable.  That also means it doesn’t wrinkle and would travel well in a suitcase.  But, you will need a steamer or iron for the linen blazer!

You can get this look for less by shopping the photos below!  I know that the summer months are coming to an end, but there is still a lot of “summer” left in the South and I wanted to write about this midi dress look while it was still available online.  This style will definitely be around for seasons to come and the best part about shopping a little later in the season is the SALES!

I hope this look has inspired you to shop it here or just to keep an eye out the next time you are in the stores.  There are several fabrics for this style dress that would work in the office.
