2 Chic Trends for 2018 Found at the Loft

The Loft is wowing me this season!  

The Loft is the perfect retailer for affordable business casual fashion.  I was excited to see how they styled two of the big trends for 2018; the color mustard and the tie front pant!  I have linked a lot of items in this post for you to shop. Spring Color Trend: Mustard 

I am normally not one who wears bright, bold colors.  I have seen this mustard color everywhere this season, so when I saw this amazing top at Loft, I knew I had to try it.  I totally thought I was going to hate it when I tried it on, but I didn’t! It is a great top for the office and could also be worn untucked with a more casual pant or jean and still look great.

The great thing about the Loft is the sales that they run.  They are consistently posting 40% off and if you shop online regularly, you can usually find what you want for a deal! I have to mention that the Blouson Cardigan below is currently only $20 and comes in 7 colors!!  If your office is anything like mine…FREEZING, then you need this! It would style great with pants or open over a dress or skirt outfit.

2018 Pant Trend: Tie Front

I love these tie front pants from Loft!  I was worried the tie on the front would make me look bulkier than I am, but was pleasantly surprised once I tried them on. You can wear the tie as a knot like I am in the photos, or you can tie it in a bow right along the waistline.

I am wearing the Marisa Fit which is their straighter cut pant.  They also make them in a curvier fit, called Julie Fit. I found these to be true to size (TTS) and if you flip flop between two sizes, I would get the smaller size.  Don’t you just love it when retailers flatter you vs. when you have to size up? I do! I can’t say enough about the Loft and this is NOT a sponsored or paid post!  I was talking with one of the store managers the other day and I mentioned how I have shopped at the Loft off and on over the years, but it had been some time since it was really one of my go-to stores.  I told him that I remembered the Loft being more casual in the past and he confirmed that they are carrying more of the “workwear” look now than in years past.

Jewelry: Kendra Scott bracelet and earrings

I love this brand for a little splurge on jewelry pieces.  Her line is mid range price…nice jewelry that is not costume nor fine jewelry.  It is excellent quality and fun to give or receive as a gift! Most pieces in the Kendra Scott line are under $100.  

Bags: Nine West & Shein

The large tote is perfect for work and can fit a tablet or small laptop. I found this tote at the Nine West Outlet on sale and I can’t find the same bag online to link for you.  I found a very similar bag by BP at Nordstrom and linked it below. It is less than $40!

The small crossbody bag is from a retailer named Shein.  This is a duplicate of the designer bag by Rebecca Minkoff found here for $295.  The quality of Shein products vary depending on what you purchase, but this bag was by far my favorite find and good quality for the price.  It is currently only $19 and still available here!

Shoes: Nine West

You will soon learn I have an obsession with Nine West for all my work shoe needs!  These basic black heels are perfect for pants or skirts/dresses and they have a lower heel for comfort.  There are just some days I can’t wear the 4” heels and I don’t feel like a kitten heel either…these are perfect for that!  These heels come in 5 colors and are currently 30% off…linked below!
