I am excited to be able to be a resource for you during the Nordstrom Sale this year! I talked about my approach this year on my Instagram stories, but in case you missed it here are my thoughts:
- This is a great sale to purchase fall staples that fill a gap in your closet.
- There are good deals on boots/booties, sweaters, denim, barefoot dreams blankets and more!
- If you have shopped the sale for years you may feel like there are the same items on repeat…
- There has not been a lot of work wear options in years past, but this year I found some great items and brands I really wanted to share.
What is the Nordstrom Sale?
The Nordstrom Sale or “N Sale” is an annual event where a selection of FALL items goes on sale BEFORE the fall season. It is a good time to purchase basics that you may need or splurge on a luxury piece at a better price. You can go to the Nordstrom site now and preview the items that are on sale here. The sale opens early to Nordstrom credit card members at different times depending on your card status (how much money you spend at Nordstrom annually). Don’t worry if you are not a card holder, the sale opens to the public this year on July 28th! If you do want to open a card to shop early you will automatically be considered an “influencer” and start shopping early.
So, my BEST advice is to make an inventory (or a mental note – who has time for an actual closet inventory?) of what you may NEED as far as work wear basics, classic pieces and casual fall fashion. Make a wish list with these items (you can save multiple wish lists and name them) and check out with those items first! Popular items sell out FAST! Second, if your budget allows, make that fun WISH list and treat yourself to something that maybe you wouldn’t buy at full price!
This is also a great sale to shop for Holiday gifts (think barefoot dreams or a beauty find) or items for your spouse or kids! *This post contains affiliate links (which means I earn a small commission from any purchase you make thru my links at no extra cost to you.)
Nordstrom Sale 2021 Guides – HerBestAlways
Dresses: Tahari is probably my favorite work wear dress & suit brand. The cobalt blue & red dresses below are Tahari. The red dress comes in 2 additional colors. I was also happy to see Eliza J as that is a brand I know runs TTS and is good quality.
Tops & Skirts: Vince Camuto, 1.State & Halogen are all brands I have purchased from Nordstrom in the past and love!
Blazers: 1.State & Vince Camuto are brands I know and trust. The other selections are unknown to me but look like great options and the camel colored pick is a SPLURGE! (so classy and would remain a staple for years to come)
Accessories: Tory Burch wins this category year after year with the N Sale. Always classic pieces at a great price. Flats for work are always a big request and this pick has a few colors to pick from. Suede is a great option to change up your work wear for fall and I think I am going to grab these green heels because I don’t have anything like them and it is great to get a piece I won’t wear all the time (like a basic black/nude heel) on sale! I was disappointed there wasn’t a work tote under $100 this year, but these options are better quality if you are willing to pay a little more.
More Work Wear: A collection of some of my other favorites: a dress suit, cami, winter coat, office appropriate jumpsuit, tops and a popular pair of work pants. Do you have the Spanx work pant? I have heard great things and it is on my MUST have list this year!
I hope you enjoyed this collection of work wear pieces from the Nordstrom Sale! Stay tuned for my non-work wear N Sale post soon! Please leave me a comment below and tell me what you purchased or what is on your wish list! For more inspiration check out my Nordstrom Sale post from last year.
