It is finally time for Insiders (card holders) to shop the Nsale! Insider access goes LIVE tomorrow morning, August 13th at 9:30 a.m. EST! Make sure you get your WISH LIST together for an easy check out in the morning.
This sale can be overwhelming! So many influencers cover it and have been telling you for weeks now that you need everything! You don’t! These are my tips for shopping the sale and making purchases you won’t regret or have to return:
- Take a look in your closet and decide where there are gaps in your fall wardrobe. I am focusing on work wear, but you can do this for both work wear and casual wear/basics.
- Choose quality/designer over quantity! You don’t need 5 mid priced sweaters and 10 pairs of tees or cheap athleisure. Think about purchasing a higher priced bag or designer pants/blazer instead. You will keep those items in your closet for years to come.
- Set a budget! You know what you can afford and don’t be pressured to overspend…I have given into this pressure in the past and my credit card balance reflected it!

I included items from brands I currently own and can speak to the quality of pieces I have purchased from this sale in the past. My Favorite Things – My Non Work Wear Fun Selections! 1) BEST blanket out there hands down! This blanket is the more affordable option of the Barefoot Dreams selections and it is still in stock in 4 colors! This is the blanket I have at home and it is also Zeus approved! 2) Cashmere! So, this is one of those splurge but quality items you can purchase from the sale. I have purchased the Halogen brand before and this is on my Wish List this year! 3) Tory Burch crossbody – you cannot go wrong with TB! I purchased a black one last year and I love the uniqueness of this design. 4) Spanx Leggings – worth the hype! Dress them up or down…you will love them! 5) The tall boot of the season! So many great reviews so far! 6) Steve Madden is always a great NSale brand and these are on my wish list! So sad the tan ones are sold out, but they are available in 4 other colors! 7) Longchamp Bag – I have a smaller version of this in black…great for airplane rides or short overnight trips! 8) Pretty pink cardigan & I love the Leith brand!
Icon Picks – Selections made by my boss babe Icon status friend! She shopped the sale early, tried on all her products and these were her favorite work wear items! 1) Halogen cami is available in 6 colors and good quality – a NSale repeat from last year. 2) The Spanx Perfect Black Pant fit amazing on all body types. Select petite if you’re below 5’4″. 3) Polka Dot Top is great for the office – runs TTS or slightly small. 4) Lace cami comes in black and white and runs large…good quality and can be dressed up or down. 5) Cece tie sleeve top is available in 3 colors, great quality and perfect for the office. 6) Animal print v-neck top is a classy way to wear animal print in the office. 7) Vince black pants look more professional than the Spanx pants, but still give you a “legging” feel.
Work Wear Basics – 1) Vince Camuto is a great brand and this versatile cami top can be dressed up or down. 2) I haven’t tried this brand, but I’m including this dress because I think it is gorgeous and can be worn to a garden party or the office with a blazer. 3) 1.State black pants – great brand I am familiar with and an affordable price point. 4) Navy dress – great brand, classy dress that will never go out of style. 5) Great top in 6 colors…a lot of great reviews on Nordstrom. 6) Affordable pencil skirt from Vince again…size up if you are in between sizes or want a more professional look for the office.
Work Shoes – 1) Jessica Simpson – I love her heels! Great sale price and available in 5 color choices. 2) I love loafers when I decide to wear flats with pants to work. Steve Madden is always a quality brand…3 colors and less than $40! 3) You need a block heel in your life! This is a great quality shoe and the higher price is worth the investment because block heels last soooo much longer than traditional heels. 4) Affordable flat for the office. The flat I have on in the photo at the beginning of this post is from the same brand! 5) Cole Haan at a great price! 6) Great work heel brand available in 5 colors.
Tahari Dresses – My FAVORITE work dress brand for the office! Dress #1 sold out recently and I cannot link it right now…I will check again in the morning for re-stocks. You will love any one of these dresses and the quality is so great it will remain in your closet for years!
Work Accessories – 1) Tory Burch classic work tote. Great quality and if you ever have an issue with a TB product, their customer service is amazing! 2) Michele iWatch band – I am so sad this is sold out. I will check for re-stocks…I have a Michele watch and was excited to buy this band. 🙁 3) Classic pair of Kendra Scott hoops will look great in a professional setting. 4) I have had some of my TB studs for over 8 years and they still look brand new! 5) I have this Gorjana necklace and I think it is a classy way to wear a bit of a statement necklace to the office. (a small subtle statement) 6) This Marc Jacobs classic black tote would be a great investment piece.
BEST Blazers – 1) If you buy any blazer from this sale and you need a staple piece…this is your choice! Gibson always produces great pieces for Nordstrom and this blazer comes in 6 colors. 2) Fall = plaid. If you don’t need a basic, then buy a plaid for fall! 3) I love the Halogen brand and I get so many compliments when I wear Tweed! 4) This gorgeous houndstooth blazer comes in 3 color patterns. 5) This casual blazer can be worn with jeans, is affordable and comes in 8 color choices. 6) Similar to #3 but in black…a great fall option!
